How to watch March Madness on CBS Sports stream, CBS Sports app
The CBS NCAA Tournament website first went down close to an hour before tipoff of the first March Madness game, and it remained down through the start of the game. Basketball fans can find a Bayesian model of LRMC predictions, along with more classic LRMC results and an LRMC option with no margin of victory. And of course you can catch even more March Madness content over at the SB Nation college basketball mothership. That appears to be the case in 2017, and it could mean a third national championship for the Blue Devils in the last eight years.
Day one of the NCAA Tournament didn’t exactly bring a lot of “madness”.
Frankly, there were so many emoji picks that we lost count, but rest assured that more than 200,000 people saw the stream and could participate if they so chose. So maybe you can’t pick the flawless bracket, but you can get pretty close if you just put your ear to the ground (or do a Twitter search) to hear what everyone else is predicting.
Thankfully, gone are the days where CBS would only show one game in the area. Then once the “play-in games” were instituted, the NCAA made a decision to call them “second round” games. Coach Hunter, who was on the stool recovering from an Achilles tendon injury, told Sports Illustrated: “I can’t tell you how I feel inside”.
The tournament’s highest ratings came during the primetime hours, with the four networks scoring a 7.2 household rating between 6:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET, which was up 9% over a year ago.
The final basket that won NC State the trophy is still probably the most memorable in tournament history.
The second video is every pick from the second round until the national championship game. Since then the popularity for the sport has grown, as well as the bracket size. Sparked by the guard play of Miles Wilson and Elijah Long, the Mountaineers had an 8-point lead early, and trailed by only 1 at the half before falling 76-56. Little Hampton, the tournament champions of the MEAC seemed no match for Big 12 power Iowa State.
But man, did Thursday’s games fail to live up to the hype. What’s also nice is that each game will have a graphic on the top of the screen telling you the scores in the other games.
This is one of the more simple applications on this list. Games also will be available on individual apps for TBS, TNT and truTV – again with a password. This application is definitely not cluttered, and if you’re looking for a simpler NCAA Tournament application, well, this might be a good option for you.
