LeBron, Cavs end rough March with win over 76ers

In what has been an incredibly odd year for the Bulls, full of unthinkable losses and improbable victories, the fact that they were the ones to sweep James for the first time is perhaps the most remarkable stat of all. Gilbert Arenas or “Agent 0” won the hearts of Washington fans, with his clutch shooting and fantastic offensive ability. Instead, it was veteran shooter James Jones who voiced out his frustration.

The Bulls overcame an 11-point third-quarter deficit to rally past the Cavaliers, who dropped half a game behind the Boston Celtics for the Eastern Conference lead.

During the month of March, Cleveland went 6-10.

Boston (48-27) won each game by a decisive 30-point margin which has been the Celtics’ largest margin of victory this season.

“It won’t be flawless in one day, but it’s no time to hold your head, I’ll tell you that”, Irving said.

The team did not provide terms of the deal.

We can’t forget the epic battle between the teams on February 6th, either. Amongst many people, the game remembers as “The Game of the Year” and that’s when excitement towards a potential matchup in the postseason heated up. LeBron James seemed to struggle with this three point shot and Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love couldn’t get into any kind of rhythm offensively.

Besides their own court success, Washington has created believers within league circles. Some of that can be explained by less opportunites in less minutes, of course, but we have seen head coach Scott Brooks go away from Gortat late in some games in favor of others and other stats have dipped.

“We were hoping they would maybe be not fresh”, Dario Saric said. Meaning teams could be in for a surprise come the first round. All three of those guys are having better seasons than LeBron.

Hayward scored 10 points in the fourth quarter and also had seven rebounds and four assists for the night. “If we can give this effort, we’ll make the playoffs”.

Taking games off to rest definitely did LeBron no favors in trying to snatch the award from the trio of Western Conference mega-stars.
