Health insurance works on the same principle and any attempt to implement health care reform requires an understanding of basic facts – most people are in good health.

“People have to spend more in premiums to get the same coverage because their tax credit is less”, said Aviva Aron-Dine, a senior fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, who co-authored an analysis of the impact of the proposed change.
“It’s hard for me to believe that any state would take us back. when it comes to the protections that consumers have for pre-existing conditions”, Laszewski said.

The House GOP’s website promoting its health overhaul still assures visitors that “Americans should never be denied coverage or charged more because of a pre-existing condition”. Only 19 percent of responders said President Trump should do what it can to make the law fail.

Despite this news, only 26 percent want to keep Obamacare as it is, according to the poll.
But, no matter what is worked out in the House, legislative sources say the Senate would have to agree with a House version, and there is no indication that body intends to even move on repeal and replace, let alone agree with it. But people split evenly between wanting to keep or repeal the statute.
