More than half of Americans approve of Obamacare
Despite the jump in approval of Obamacare, 40 percent of Americans said they want to keep the law in place but make significant changes. The Trump administration is talking this week of somehow reviving the legislation. It did not measure reactions to the Republican proposal.
Actually, it has always been more popular than many people thought, but now it’s official. That proposal was included in the failed GOP overhaul.
More than half of Americans support Obamacare, according to a Gallup poll taken amid floundering Republican efforts to scrap the law after seven years of promising a replacement. More than nine in 10 registered voters in a recent poll said that health insurance companies should include coverage for emergency medical care. They drew it up, lied to the people about its contents, tacked on nearly 20 taxes which most people didn’t realize were there, and have celebrated for seven years about the “stupidity” of the Americans who fell for the liberal rhetoric.
In the spirit of fairness to President Trump, whom I noted the other day had a Gallup approval/disapproval rating of 36/57, by far the worst ever for a president this early in his term, I should also note that his approval rating has shown a slight recovery. Then, after it failed, he said this: “I think what will happen is Obamacare, unfortunately, will explode”. “I do feel like it’s a right”.

Trump, like Republicans in elections since the law’s adoption in 2010, campaigned on a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Members of the House Freedom Caucus who blasted the first bill as “Obamacare lite” are reviewing a White House idea that would let states apply for a waiver from Obamacare insurance regulations that have been blamed for making coverage more expensive for healthier people. “We want to make sure that when we go, we have the votes to pass this bill”, he said.
That means Democratic taxpayers help pay health care premiums for congressional Republicans, and Republican taxpayers help pay health care premiums for congressional Democrats. The chief obstacle to agreement among House Republicans on this point, it seems to us, is that too many of them are exhausted of negotiating with one another about health care. “So why wouldn’t we do that?”
Asked if the GOP could try to move a health care bill again and fail, Rep. Tom Cole, R-Oklahoma, said “no”. Their employer, the US government, pays up to 72 percent of their premiums.
Americans’ view of Obamacare are split along party lines, though all groups view the law more favorably now, according to Gallup.
Wow: Obamacare approval surges to 55% in favor, 41% against amid Republican repeal efforts, per new Gallup poll. “It would be awful for people buying individual insurance, and it would be a black eye for the Republicans”.
Trump aides also discussed directing funds from the $115 billion stability fund for states into high-risk pools for people with pre-existing health conditions to better ensure insurance premiums come down in cost, Collins said.
