Kids hunt for almost 30000 Easter eggs at Eastwood Mall

As a part of their 2017 Easter Weekend, the church held their community-wide Easter Egg Drop event Saturday afternoon for all to see and participate.
“This event gets bigger and bigger each year”, said Chris High, pastor of Hoboken Grace.
Eggs were sent down in a Kleenex box, a huge cardboard box, an Easter egg basket with an improvised parachute and even in a Ziploc bag filled with marshmallows, all of them surviving.
The Rec Park Carousel will also be open during the event. For most German kids Easter egg hunting takes place at home, and only on Easter Sunday.
The egg hunt held at Naperville’s Knoch Knolls Park had to be navigated with the aid of a flashlight. “Too often we spend a few hours with our kids taking them to activities that they do with coaches and tutors while we wait and watch”.
Close to 2,000 families showed up to the Eastwood Mall’s “Eggs in the Mall” event to hunt for almost 30,000 eggs.
The ranch offers boarding, training and lessons, and Smith said some of her students attend the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt every year, which was how she learned the hunt might not happen this year. “This is my sixth one”.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., the 1 to 2-year-old age groups can start their search at 11, followed by a time slot for 3 to 5-year-olds at 11:20 and finally for 6 to 8-year-olds at 11:40 a.m.
“My kids are extremely happy to be here, and to be able to pay and interact with thousands of other kids their age make me happy for them”, Wilson said.
“It’s fun, she’s having fun”. This was her first time enjoying the Easter egg hunt.
“Another great year”, Ashley Sebastian said.
For those who want to stay closer to sea level, the Thredbo village green will host a kids Easter egg hunt, with 5000 chocolate eggs scattered around the grounds. “The whole family is out there”.
All of the beeping Easter Eggs can be re-used again next year. “Eggies!” Luka said, shovelling plastic eggs into a bucket with all his energy. “He has so much fun”.
