The organizers have worked to ensure that the events associated with the Washington D.C. march are accessible.

Science activists saw the event as something they could replicate, and devised similar action – a large D.C. rally with satellite protests around the country – based on showing general support for science policy. “We don’t want it to happen again”.
After hearing public outcry and seeing the success of the Women’s March on Washington, organizers chose to put together a science march to call on government officials to make better-informed decisions on science-related issues. “There are other lives here besides ourselves and we are the ones doing the most damage to it”.
But Dr. Robert Young, the director of the Program for the Study of Developed Shorelines at Western Carolina University, is concerned the march will turn off Trump supporters and those who need to be reminded “why science is important”.
Some aren’t marching for one cause, but for several.
Calling the March 29 march a “mass mobilization”, the national coordinator of the Peoples Climate Movement describes the Trump administration’s repeal of Barack Obama’s Clean Power Plan as “a risky step that puts people and the planet at grave risk”. “This medication not only saved his life but it saved him from having to suffer frightful long-term side effects”, Williams wrote. She is participant of InTeGrate, a $10 million National Science Foundation grant for infusing Earth literacy and sustainability across the undergraduate curriculum.
