Celtics vs. Bulls 2017, Game 6 live stream
“But like we talked about (Wednesday), it’s still a long shot that he’s back on the court, at least in this series”. The Bulls defended him prison-style, and he still managed to score 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter.
“I’m good. Everyone’s a little nicked up; I’ll be all right”, Butler said in the locker room.
I’m pretty confident Rondo won’t be able to play in this game and even if he does, it’s hard seeing him be effective.
Wade had 26 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. This was the first game of the series in which the home team was victorious.
Kelly Olynyk converted a three-point play with 8:09 left, then Horford stole the ball from Lopez at midcourt and went uncontested for a dunk to make it 91-85. But that didn’t stop him from knocking down eight of them, which was more made contested shots than any other player in Game 5. Now, they’ll be looking for another strong start like Game 3, when the Hawks raced to a 25-point lead in the first quarter.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Bulls will force Game 7, but if they do, you have to think that Rondo would physically have to be held back by the team doctors as he would demand to be on the floor in the deciding game.
Butler’s 30-foot buzzer-beater to end the third quarter seemed to indicate a harbinger of things to come, giving the Bulls an 81-79 lead. His 14 points equaled his low total for this series, and he hit only 6-15 from the field. Either way, the Boston Celtics are the better team here and are playing with confidence now that Thomas is back to being Thomas with that swagger in his step.
Thomas’ final numbers of 24 points and four assists looked solid, but he struggled to get there, going 6-for-17 and 1-for-10 from deep.
Over the last two seasons, PF Paul Millsap and the Hawks are 11-1 SU and 9-3 ATS in home games in April.
The Bulls guard, after a late-night Tuesday workout first reported by ESPN’s Marc Stein, decided his broken right thumb was still too swollen and painful to play in Game 5. The Bulls later listed the guard as “out” of Game 6.
“You know, we’ve got to find a way to do the things that gave us success”, Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said.
Thomas took exception with the suggestion, saying it was the way he’d dribbled his entire career and was no different than the style of other All-Stars such as LeBron James and Rondo.
When asked about Isaiah Thomas’ ball handling in Game 5, Hoiberg had a much different take.
