Nacho: ‘James Rodriguez was not waving goodbye to supporters’
Real Madrid have placed a €75m price tag on James Rodriguez with the Colombian superstar desperate to escape the Spanish capital this summer, as reported by Marca.
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has said that forward Gareth Bale has started training and is making a positive recovery.
In April, Mourinho spoke of his confidence that United will have conducted some “interesting” transfer business by the end of the summer transfer window.
The midfielder appeared to say goodbye to the club’s supporters when he was substituted in Sunday’s home league win over Sevilla, stopping to applaud all four corners of the stadium. He said: “We have to take it one day at a time. he is trained using the indoor facilities, but every day he gets better”.
The Colombian worldwide has started just 13 La Liga games this season with the likes of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Isco all ahead of him in the pecking order. This is coupled with the success of Marcos Asensio and Isco has left Madrid chiefs opening up to the idea of selling their club record signing.
Alongside Rodriguez, defenders Pepe and Dani Carvajal are also ruled out due to injury along Gareth Bale. But Real Madrid, too, have been considering a potential swoop for Griezmann, despite the fact that he plays for their fierce city rivals.
And what does the transfer mean for Madrid this summer?
Bale does have some support though, with Toni Kroos and fellow ex-Spurs player Luka Modric fighting his corner ahead of Real’s second consecutive Champions League final.
“We’ve got three very good goalkeepers and we’re happy with all three”.
