Melania Trump’s hand swat of President Trump goes viral
Trump’s flight to Israel was more notable than most Air Force One landings: His trip from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Tel Aviv, Israel, is believed to be the first ever direct flight between the two countries, which do not have diplomatic relations.
It’s still hard to believe that Donald Trump is president, right? The president reached for his wife’s hand as they began descending the plane’s stairs, and that’s when the magic happened. He was already walking ahead of her and speaking with Prime Minister Netanyahu (who did appear to be holding his wife’s hand, or at the very least was walking by her side).
Melania was walking a half-step behind her husband at the time and managed to rebuff his advance without showing any clear emotion or breaking her stride, while the commander-in-chief responded by using the rejected hand to carefully adjust his tie.
It appeared that Melania Trump slapped away husband Donald Trump’s hand while on an official visit in Tel Aviv.
The pair was filmed in a similar situation days later in Rome, when Melania moved her hand to tuck her hair behind her ear just as Trump reached for her it.
The President then tried to grab his wife’s hand.
A video clip has surfaced online showing an awkward exchange between President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, moments after they arrived in Israel (see below). A White House spokeswoman for Mrs. Trump did not return PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.
Rather than take his hand, though, Melania batted it away.
He might have eaten her inflight snack, again, rendering her furious, again.
While in Rome, the couple will meet Pope Francis at the Vatican before heading to Sicily for the annual G7 economics summit. “We are with you”.
But the Trumps were also pictured holding hands on other occasions on the trip.
“The Beatles make a plea to Melania on behalf of Trump”.
The drastic change in her facial expression behind his back sparked fear for the former model, launching the “sad Melania” meme, and ever since the world has been watching her closely.
