Salman Abedi may have built other explosives
Singer Ariana Grande has released a statement following a terror attack at her concert in Manchester, in which she vows to return to the city.
On Wednesday, photographs purportedly showing bloodstained fragments of Abedi’s homemade bomb, including what seemed to be the remains of the device’s battery and detonator, appeared in the New York Times, hours after home secretary Amber Rudd asked USA authorities not to leak material. Eight people remain in custody.

Rudd said Britain was making good progress with internet firms on this but more could be done. He said his son was getting ready to visit Saudi Arabia for a short Umrah pilgrimage then planned to head to Libya to spend the Islamic holy month of Ramadan with his family. French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said Abedi had “likely” been to Syria after the trip to Libya, citing information provided by British intelligence services to their counterparts in Paris.
Police have said they have arrested a large part of the network behind the bombing, which killed 22 people at a concert hall, and two more men were arrested on Saturday as police continued to close in on the group.
