Warriors wary of LeBron as Cavs arrive for Finals
Well, it’s the rematch of a rematch.
The teams split their season series, but the Warriors blew the Cavs out, 126-91, in their last meeting.
In a season filled with doubts, animosity, and coaching changes, LeBron James and the Cavaliers ended Cleveland’s 52-year curse with a championship.
Offensively, the Cavaliers’ chances rest on James and Kyrie Irving attacking the basket and reducing the impact of Green, the NBA’s best defensive player.
According to the secondary ticket sale and research site TicketIQ, the average “get-in” price-meaning the least expensive seat in the house-is for Golden State’s home games is $423. The shooting guard/small forward was awarded the 2015 Finals Most Valuable Player title for his Herculean effort in stopping the 32-year-old.
And although this will be the third NBA Finals go-around between the Cavaliers and Warriors, this year’s tale of the tape is much different than the previous two.

The Warriors are the first team to win their first 12 games of the postseason, sweeping all three rounds so far.
The teams come into the Finals with a combined record of 24-1 in the playoffs, and there will be All-Star caliber matchups all over the court.

And just as James struggled in building chemistry in Miami with “Big Three” teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Durant and his new Golden State teammates had to make adjustments to maximize the contributions of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green as well.
Following a barrage of long-distance shots from point guard Kyrie Irving and power forward Kevin Love, James pulled up for and buried a left-wing triple, which moved him past Jordan atop the NBA Playoffs scoring list.
This will be the third straight year Golden State and Cleveland have met in the NBA Finals.
During the regular season, the big man seemed to be fitting in more than he ever has in his three seasons in Cleveland. He averages 28.6 in the playoffs, not to mention a field goal percentage of 50.2. “Kind of no debate after this, who the better team is on this stage”. The NBA Finals series promises to be a classic, epic battle for the ages, just like the 1975 Ali-Frazier Thrilla in Manila.
