IPhone to add new feature that will stop texting while driving
The new 10.5-inch model reduces the borders by almost 40% to fit into a compact package that weighs less than 500g.
Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, first announced the new feature at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, USA Today reported.
Just before Apple’s WWDC event for 2017 kicked off on Monday, it came to light that there could be a new file management app for the company’s latest mobile device operating system.
Though iOS 11 isn’t due out until this fall, it’s the biggest update Apple has ever done for the iPad – and we’re already looking forward to it.
“There’s a lot to like about the 10.5” iPad Pro, not the least of which is its Retina display and “ProMotion” 120Hz refresh rate, something that offers a combination of better responsiveness to touch and smoother scrolling. And the iPad Pro truly does rise to the challenge with its modern and sincerely spectacular specs.
A wide colour gamut enables iPad Pro to deliver digital cinema-standard colours. The A10X Fusion chip is a 30% speed boost, and a new GPU means 40% faster graphics.
iPad Pro can be used to shoot, edit and share pro-quality photos and videos. There is a 7 MP front camera, also known as Facetime HD camera, along with the feature of image stabilization as well. Most of the news focused on the coming updates for its various operating systems, but CEO Tim Cook also introduced some new hardware. You can now mark up a PDF or screenshot “faster and more easily”, according to Apple.
The iPhone screen will also be locked to prevent drivers from using many of their apps while driving.
The software update will run only on devices with a 64-bit processor, meaning it won’t be compatible with the guts of the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c that feature 32 bit processors. New searchable handwriting makes it easy to search for handwritten text or characters. The Wi-Fi+Cellular models cost Rs 76,900 (64GB), Rs 84,900 (256GB), and Rs 1,00,900 (512GB). The 12.9-inch one, starting at $799, comes with a $50 gift card. Critics of the new feature call it a nuisance, while others think it’s well worth it.
