Worms WMD and Worms 4 Announced

Worms WMD is heading to Xbox One and PC in early 2016, and Worms 4 will be coming to mobile in August 2015. Team17 will be presenting Worms WMD at the UKIE Royal Box at this year’s Gamescom.

You know the score by now – wipe out your opponent’s team with explosive sheep, donkeys and OAPs while trying to stay alive yourself.

Worms 4, meanwhile, is described as the “definitive handheld Worms experience” and will feature an “enriched look and improved design for mobile”.

Worms 4 will have real-time turn-based multiplayer matches for players to participate in, while the title will also include 80 single-player missions, over a hundred weapon upgrades to collect and five themes to choose from before a matchup. It seems that “hiding” tactics will go out of the window, as players are forced to take risks they would usually not even think about in a normal Worms game.

Worms 4 will release on iOS devices this August 2015, but we will not see Worms WMD for a while. The title will be on Xbox One and PC sometime next year.
