The new title, Assassin’s Creed Origins, as predicted is set to occur in ancient Egypt and introduces a plethora of new mechanics to the series.
It appears that the release date for Assassin’s Creed: Origins has been leaked online via a pre-order listing.
The self-imposed, year-long hiatus that Ubisoft placed on the franchise following 2015’s Syndicate appears to have worked wonders for its flagship series, as Origins looks every bit as attractive as we’d expect, given the extra development time.
These most recent leaks confirm the protagonist as Bayek, who begins the game as a Madjay, a member of this civilization’s police force.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is arriving on October 27. The game depicts Yek’s struggle against the forces “corrupting ancient Egypt”, with that struggle eventually leading to the formation of the Assassin Brotherhood featured throughout previous games.
Ubisoft have officially revealed a trailer and gameplay footage for Assassin’s Creed Origins, the anticipated next installment in the long running Assassin’s Creed series.
