Fultz leads a strong NBA draft class
During a dizzying few days of deals around the National Basketball Association, the presumed No. 1 pick had his Saturday plans – not to mention his future destination – change when the Philadelphia 76ers brought him in for a workout.
Fultz, who averaged 23.2 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in one season at Washington, could be joining a team that has had several top draft choices in recent years.
His favorite class was a history course on music in which he learned about one of his favorites, Sam Cooke, the soulful crooner who died 34 years before Fultz was born. “I got to spend time with Danny Ainge and coach Stevens and the other staff and hang out”.

“I’m a humble guy”.

Whether he was worthy of such a selection was debated endlessly because of the failures by the Huskies. The team went 9-22 and lost its final 13 games.
“Our struggles had nothing to do with Markelle”, said former UW coach Lorenzo Romar, who was sacked in March after 15 years with Huskies and accepted an assistant position for the Arizona Wildcats.
