Rachel Lindsay Responds to ‘Bachelor’ Alum Leah Block’s Racist Comment

And on Monday night another problematic contestant in Bachelor Nation made an appearance. None of us were aware of them Very unfortunate’. On the Monday, June 19, episode of the matchmaking show, tensions were running high amongst the men as they continued to vie for Rachel Lindsay’s heart.

Kenny’s reaction to Lee’s rose is everything. When the producers ask him to clarify he replies, “You know exactly what I mean when I say that. Once you kind of get to know the people on each season, it’s fun to follow and see all the insane madness that happens”.

When Kenny tried to defend himself to Lindsay, he told her: “Lee’s handshake doesn’t match his smile”. He told her, “You just need to tell me what you want, I can facilitate anything”. It’s possible to cast guys who’ll start drama without giving the spotlight to someone like Lee. He’s rather soft spoken, he gushes about his daughter and generally comes off as a rather chill guy.

Soon, Rachel was crying and appeared to feel the burden of her milestone “Bachelorette” stardom, mentioning “the pressures I feel about being a black woman”. It’s such a dog whistle statement and I assumed Rachel was sharp enough to see through that.

There’s also just a degree to which this happens every season-that the Bachelor or Bachelorette gets caught in between two people in the house who are warring.

The group also has some fun competing in a friendly spelling bee. As expected, Dean gets a rose. Claiming that he loves both Kenny and Eric to his white friends, he constantly admits during the confessionals that one of his life passions is getting a rise out of people and making them look foolish. From my conversations with the guys and by their demeanor, I had started to worry that they were taking me too seriously.
