It Looks Like Wayne Rooney Is Finally Leaving Manchester United

Talks are scheduled between Ronald Koeman and the out-of-favour Manchester United captain in a bid to convince him to rejoin the Blues this summer.
Under Sir Alex, Rooney won 5 Premier League titles, a Champions League winners medal, League Cups and Community Shields as well as becoming the club’s highest ever goalscorer.
MANCHESTER UNITED have had an offer accepted for Romelu Lukaku – and Red Devils fans are delighted.
And there is a determination within United that Rooney’s exit should not be overshadowed by the big-money arrival of Lukaku.
Lukaku, 23, is now expected to put the finishing touches to his move before joining the United squad on Sunday when they leave for their pre-season tour of America.
Meanwhile Everton have confirmed the signing of Metz striker Boris Mathis. “I’ve been at this club for 13 years, but I want to play football”.
As a result, Rooney was expected to leave in the summer in search of first-team football as he looks to try and force his way back into the England squad ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Russian Federation.
Rooney has said repeatedly that he would not leave Old Trafford for any Premier League team other than Everton, although it is understood that they are not the only club interested. Within two years at the age of 18, he was leading the line for England at Euro 2004, and it is widely believed that his injury scuppered The Three Lions chances of winning the competition in Portugal.
Carrick, as now the longest serving member of United’s playing staff, is a safe – if somewhat uninspiring – choice for club captain. To the naked eye he appears to have none left, but maybe Koeman knows better.
But some are still offering punters a market on Rooney’s move to Everton – although you can only get a stingy price, like SkyBet’s 1-20. Only a killjoy or a spoilsport would add a word of warning to such a feelgood story, but it is only a year since Mourinho had complete faith in Rooney’s undimmed ability and so did Roy Hodgson.
