“Veep”, the most-nominated comedy with 17 bids, has a chance for its third consecutive top comedy trophy.

“This Is Us”, the most-talked-about new broadcast series last season, earned 11 nominations in all. And since it’s nearly always impossible to tell exactly how Emmy voters will respond to a new show, the Emmy futures for Westworld could vary wildly.

And though Westworld lead all dramas with 22 nominations, it was tied by Saturday Night Live, which itself got 22 nominations on the comedy side. It was a insane season, but House of Cards squeaked into the Outstanding Drama category, leaving The Americans, The Leftovers, and 13 Reasons Why without a spot in the coveted category.
