Amazon working on messaging service
Called Anytime, the app will reportedly be available across iOS, Android and even desktop, and will combine features of numerous other most-used apps. However, the leak says that the feature will not be used across the entire app. A messaging app was a significant majority result of said surveys. Facebook (fb)-owned WhatsApp, for instance, has more than 1.2 billion users globally. Users can also choose to have their messages encrypted so that sensitive data cannot be accessed externally.
Amazon’s Anytime may work across all devices: desktop, mobile, Android and iOS.
Amazon hasn’t revealed a launch date for the app yet.
Users will be able to use GIFs, stickers and emojis. It may be that the app will allow users to chat with businesses for customer service and even for shopping. If you have them as a friend on one of the apps you’ve connected, it’ll ping them via that app, keeping everything in one place while allowing you to communicate across platforms.

Amazon’s personal assistant Alexa may also be integrated in some shape or form. User can even share his/her location through the app. In addition to this, business chat is also available alongside the ability to listen to music simultaneously. This feature was recently added in Facebook’s messenger where user can directly with the brands of which they see the adverts.
However, according to Techcrunch, one of the survey pages shared by AFTV contains a typo.
