Motorola Moto Z2 Force With VoLTE Support and ShatterShield Display Announced
At an event in New York City on Tuesday, Motorola announced its latest smartphone and a new 360-degree camera Moto Mod.
Motorola recently launched the rather good Moto Z2 Play mid-range mobile here in the United Kingdom, offering the same great Moto Mods experience of previous Z-series phones for an affordable price tag. These devices set the standard for smartphone innovation and allow you to engage in your passions and connect with the world in meaningful, intentional and purposeful ways. After months of leaks and teases, Motorola has officially pulled the wraps off its flagship Moto Z2 Force.
Most smartphone owners have experienced the pain of breaking their screen. In addition to that, Motorola is now using 7,000 series aluminum to provide a relatively more sturdy frame.
Although both of these handsets are 5.5-inch phones, you’ll find that the construction is slightly different.
Two cameras mean twice the focus. In the front, there’s an 85-degree lens with a CCT flash, and there’s a dual-lens setup in the rear, which includes two 12MP sensors.
The other key details: There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It’ll cost $720, but if you have AT&T it could cost more. If the battery life isn’t enough though, the phone will support the latest generation of Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging technology. Motorola’s Turbo Chargers generally do a great job of powering up phones in a hurry, so hopefully this change won’t hurt too much.
You also get a Moto ShatterShield screen on the Force Edition, which is “guaranteed not to crack or shatter”. Well, it has dual cameras, a slim design, new Moto Mod options, and a smaller battery. The 360 cam mod shoots in 4K with immersive audio.
150° ultra wide-angle photos: Capture ultra wide-angle front and rear images, giving your still photos a perspective you can’t get from any other smartphone. You can view what you’re recording in real time on the phone’s display, but you have to hold the phone in a hand or prop it up in order to use it.
Stream or share: Live stream your 360° videos on your social media channels.
Motorola’s smartphone with the almost indestructible screen is back – and now it’s on every major United States carrier.
The Moto Z2 Force runs Android 7.1.1out of the box and comes with Motorola’s additional features like voice control and Moto gestures.
Pre-orders for the Z2 Force Edition across all USA carriers begins today and will cost $30 per month on a 24-month payment plan ($720 total).
