Trump White House Looks To Quash ‘Deluge’ Of Leakers

“This is not a vacation – meetings and calls!”.

On Aug. 4, the president arrived for a 17-day stay at the his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey, accompanied by his daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and his grandchildren, reports the New York Daily News.

Sports Illustrated posted an Instagram video of Trump in full golf regalia, inquiring if wedding guests were having a good time.

During his campaign period, Trump was adamant that when he becomes President of the United States, he would rarely leave the White House to take vacations and play golf as he told CNBC that there was “just so much to be done”. CNN reports that Miller might be elevated to the position as the White House will need to hire another communications director and he’s one of the few being tapped to take over.

The official said POTUS plans to meet with Kelly today but provided no further details about future meetings with lawmakers or other advisers.

In June, Trump crashed another wedding in his New Jersey club and in February he stopped by a wedding in Mar-a-Lago, talking about how he pushed Japanese Primer Minister Shinzo Abe to accompany him. How can the president function if foreign leaders know their remarks to him are going to be come public?

But Trump has said several times that successful people don’t take vacations.

White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters said Monday that Trump will return to his hometown for part of the first half of next week.

Mr Trump has now enjoyed more than three times as many holiday days as his predecessor had enjoyed at the same stage of their first terms in the Oval Office. Whether it was him taking frequent winter and spring golf vacations to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, or his more recent trips to his Bedminister, New Jersey golf club, it seems as though nearly every weekend Trump can be seen on the links.
