Severe storms possible Monday: When we’ll see showers, storms
Lows drop into the 60s behind our modest cool front. While a severe storm can’t be ruled out during this time, the main threats will be lightning and downpours. A few rumbles are possible, but widespread thunderstorms should not be a concern.
Some patchy fog is likely overnight into tomorrow morning, but we do not expect major problems for the morning commute on Tuesday. “WFSB meteorologists think a fair estimate would be the 0.25″ to 0.50” range.Monday night will be a cool night, too, with lows near 60 degrees.
The umbrella isn’t need for midweek.
Friday will have clouds and sun with a few showers and storms possible.
Mostly sunny in the morning and partly sunny in the afternoon, pleasant.
Also in the tropics, a new tropical storm formed Sunday evening.
Aside from the chance of some patchy fog to start the day tomorrow will be attractive and more seasonal. High temperatures will stay below average in the 70s. This will help to increase wind shear, which is the increasing of winds with height. Highs are expected to top out in the mid to upper 80’s across much of the region. That front could squeeze south into Georgia and Alabama on Tuesday, providing just a bit of extra lift to get showers and thunderstorms going.
Good Friday. We start the day with mostly cloudy skies and temps in the low 70s.
The area of low pressure will push off the mid-Atlantic coast Monday evening as high pressure pushes in close behind. Wind: NE 5-15. High: 81.
Have a great Monday!
