Lena Dunham praises Taylor Swift’s ‘powerful’ testimony against Denver DJ
His testimony came a day after Ms Swift took the stand to describe the incident, calling it a “definite grab”. She said that she will not “say anything different”.
Swift, 27, is suing ex-radio DJ David Mueller, 55, for allegedly groping her after she agreed to pose for a photo with him and his girlfriend. “I am not going to allow your client to make me feel like it is anyway my fault because it isn’t”, she said. “Long enough for me to be completely sure that it was intentional”.
Swift’s security guards threw Mueller out of the Pepsi Center and told him he was banned for life from Swift concerts.
Mueller sued Swift and others on her team, denying he groped Swift and claiming they cost him his job.
“Theoretically, it could”, Mueller answered, according to the Post.
Swift counter-sued for assault and battery, asking for damages of $1. Her example is powerful.
Taylor has said if she gets compensated by money, she will donate it to a charitable cause that fights sexual assaults against women. I have a 3-D rendition of what happened in my brain. He had a handful of my a-.
Explaining how she dealt with the situation, Swift said: “This is not something that I wanted people to know”.
“I did not want her to have to life through the endless memes and gifs that tabloid media and internet trolls made a decision to come up with – doctoring the pictures… and making her relive this bad moment over and over again”. “I saw him, I didn’t need to go up to the camera and see what he looked like, or what anyone else looked like”.
He says the photo shows Swift trying to move away from Mueller.
‘He grabbed my ass underneath my skirt, ‘ she told the court, according to CNN. She rejected Mueller’s claim that their interaction was basic “jostling” for a photo and dismissed the possibility that she had misidentified Mueller.
But if Swift felt she had been groped, she said, then she had the right to press the radio station to investigate her allegation. Swift responded that she couldn’t because her “a- is in the back of (her) body”.
But David McFarland, his lawyer, insisted his client’s hand “is not underneath Miss Swift’s skirt, and her skirt is not rumpled in any fashion”.
During her testimony, Swift was shown the photograph and reiterated her accusations. “Yes!” she replied. “I named my cat after Detective Olivia Benson from ‘Law and Order: SVU'”.
Swift’s assistants testified in depositions that as soon as the photo session ended, the singer told everyone in the room about the incident. “He sexually assaulted her, this guy, who is present here”. Here’s Swift’s photographic evidence. “We will keep fighting the big fight as long as she does”.
Taylor Swift’s lawyer has told jurors in the USA that the singer is “absolutely certain” she was sexually assaulted by former radio DJ David Mueller.
Taylor alleged that Mueller groped her butt during a meet-and-greet back in June 2013 and the DJ was sacked from his job two days later.
