10 world’s highest paid actresses of 2017

Forbes has released its list of highest paid actresses and unlike previous year, no Indian name made it through. Understandably, Lawrence didn’t have a lot of movies for 2017 and the “Hunger Games” franchise already faded out.
Emma Stone is Hollywood’s highest-paid actress now, with $26 million before taxes, according to Forbes magazine, while last year’s best paid actress, Jennifer Lawrence, is practically on her way to the poor house with just $24 million.
A surprise absentee on the list was Scarlett Johansson who was third on the list a year ago. So are you hoping any of our Bollywood actors will be on that list? Who were the repeaters? While the white actresses at the center of these debacles don’t make the list, it is still shocking that no women of color have made it either.
Amy Adams took the final spot in the top ten, raking in £8.9 million, with the top ten highest paid actresses earning a combined total of £133.9 million.
Kunis meanwhile earned $15.5 million, and Emma Watson earned the sixth spot on the list, earning $14 million.
It has been an incredible few months for Stone, who completed a clean sweep of Hollywood’s major prizes in February. I’m not exactly sure how she was awarded this honor given that there are still four months left in 2017, but I’m sure there’s a good reason that is above my pay grade.
Who made it to the top 5?
Melissa McCarthy’s presence on the fourth position was no big surprise with $18 million to her name.
There’s no doubt that Jennifer Lawrence is an A-list lady in the entertainment industry. Associated with Snow White and the Huntsman, Prometheus and Aliens the actress is adding behind-the-scenes appearances to her resume as well.
Stone brought in $26 million over the course of the year, primarily from the success of La La Land, which made nearly $500 million worldwide.
Stone’s pretax income largely came from her role in La La Land, which grossed $445.3 million at the global box office, as well as earning her a Best Actress Oscar.
