‘Game of Thrones’ actress talks about that shocking death
More: Will the HBO Hack Reveal More Walking Dead Easter Eggs in Game of Thrones?
The entire world was shocked when HBO Spain aired the Game of Thrones season 7 episode 6 accidentally, nearly a week before its release date.
To prove the existence of White Walkers, Jon and his squad went North of the wall to capture a wight. Meanwhile, Jon’s got his speech all worked out (the line about the Great War, mentioned above), while Tyrion casts angry glances at Cersei (who’s looking snootier than we’ve ever seen her).
When she named her dragons, Daenerys chose her words wisely.
In A World of Ice and Fire, ice dragons are discussed as being native to the Shivering Sea off of Essos (if they even do exist at all in this world, of course).
As always, the attractive actress made a witty caption of the picture: “Wait… did I NOT tell you guys?!”
Daenerys Targaryen lost Viserion when the Night King threw a special ice spear into the beast, which caused it to crash and fall into the icy water.
By now, we know that Season 8 will be Game of Thrones’ last and that it will be the shortest, clocking in at six episodes. Sunday’s penultimate episode was mainly focused on the battle beyond The Wall to help execute our motley crew’s kind-of-shaky plan to convince Cersei Lannister to help end the Long Night. But the big shock of the night came when Viserion was pulled from the lake and his eyes turned a cold ice blue when he was transformed into a White Walker or wight dragon by the Night King.
They were both recovering from jarring events: Dany had just lost a dragon to the Night King and Jon was almost killed by wights. You could suspend disbelief for some of these season 6 super-speed journeys, but it’s basically become teleportation in season 7.
The last episode of series 7 of Game of Thrones will be available exclusively on Sky Atlantic and TV streaming service NOW TV on 27 August. The episode, from the moment it began, had us on our toes and all hell broke loose when that dead bear growled in the first scene.
