HBO releases new behind-the-scenes Game of Thrones series
“Now Jon will more than likely have a larger role to play, and what kind of choices is Daenerys going to make now that she has changed the dynamic between her and Jon?” he said.
To say that the Game of Thrones season 7 finale was packed with intense action and dramatic revelations would be an understatement of dragon-sized proportions. “I think they both know it’s going to cause problems”, the British actor began. This is what we will discover in Game of Thrones’ season 8, but if it is already certain that Jon and Dany will not easily forgive this betrayal.
If you haven’t seen it with your own eyes, you’ve definitely heard about it: The creative team over at Game of Thrones decided that enough was enough and to finally make Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen a couple on Sunday’s Season 7 finale.
“From my point of view, Tyrion always seemed three steps ahead”, Podeswa told The New York Times. He also directed the scene where Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) wipes out every male in the Frey family at the same time.
Second, also intercut with the nakedness were shots of Tyrion just staring down the halls of the ship right outside the room where said lovemaking was happening.
Many fans noticed that season 7 became too easy to predict and multiple fan theories somehow matched the events in the show.
“I was very happy that the premiere was so well received – it was record breaking numbers as the whole season has been and the response has been really incredible”, said Podeswa.
And like most GoT fans, he feels it was totally inevitable. This was one of the cliffhangers left by the show when the season ended over the weekend.
The first episode has been uploaded to the official Game of Thrones YouTube channel, starting with a dissection of “Dragonstone”, directed by Jeremy Podeswa. First, at the same moment they were having hot, passionate sex, Sam and Bran were coming to the realization that Jon is a Targaryen and heir to the Iron Throne.
“I enjoyed rehearsing the scene in advance with the whole cast in Belfast”. Any of [the cast] could be fantastic on the Iron Throne. When Jon and Daenerys arrive in Winterfell next season, Sansa might not be so pleased to see them.
Harington expects that “Game of Thrones” season 8 will include “a lot of fighting”, which is something that the actor is looking forward to as he prepares himself for more intense battle sequences in the future.
