Steely Dan founding member Walter Becker dies aged 67
Fagen said in a statement that he intends to continue to perform Steely Dan’s music with other musicians.

Together they became one of the most successful rock acts of the 1970s, creating a sound that owed as much to jazz as rock and roll.
Personality clashes led to the band’s 1981 dissolution. Becker and Fagen ended up in New York City, where they joined the studio band for Jay and the Americans.
