IPhone 8 'working prototype' is probably fake

When the video starts on the iPhone homescreen, you can also see the four dots near the bottom of the screen that indicates the amount of pages of apps, but there’s no dot to the left like there would normally be for the widget screen. This leaves for rather awkward areas on either side of the cut-out, but Apple is expected to introduce a smart solution for the issue. That has been confirmed by Apple’s own launch event invitation that has been sent to media. In the USA, the models start at $649 to $969, which means we can also expect the same pricing.

The iPhone 8 will be the 10th anniversary edition since the original release in 2007.

Hints from within Apple’s supply chain suggest that the Californian firm could be about to follow suit – and rumours about a glass back on the new iPhone chime with this. I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple pushes the starting price of the 6.46-inch iPhone Edition (assuming, of course, such a thing will come to market) up even higher than the rumored 9 starting price of this year’s 5.8-inch iPhone Edition. The 22-page guide is dated March 3, 2017 and was leaked recently to Dropbox, reports Business Insider Called the “Visual/Mechanical Inspection Guide” (VMI) the document covers the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, and 7 Plus.

According to the latest reports, the iPhone 8 could come with organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen, which offers sharper visuals than the liquid-crystal displays (LCD) used in all previous iPhones.

There will be no iPhone 8 home button, according to various reports, which means that there will be one less way for users to wake up Apple’s digital assistant Siri in the upcoming premium smartphone.

Samsung – Apple’s closest rival – launched its flagship Galaxy S8 this summer with the slogan, “Unbox your phone” – referring to the “box” at the edges of the screen.

That’s not to say the iPhone 8 won’t deliver strong sales, of course.

Perhaps the biggest change is the removal of the Touch ID fingerprint recognition system from the iPhone 8. Apple also won’t fix damage that’s just to the appearance of the phone and won’t affect the functioning.
