The NES Mini is Making a Comeback

In a comment to Eurogamer, Nintendo confirmed, saying, “We’re happy to confirm that we’ll continue to ship stock of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System to Europe in 2018″. “Next summer, Nintendo will also bring back the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system with new shipments”.

Nintendo has finally made dreams come true, as the company has announced that the NES Classic is coming back.

Yesterday we learned that Nintendo “dramatically increased” production for the SNES Classic launching on September 29 for $80. The Super NES Classic will include 21 pre-loaded games, included the previously unreleased ‘Star Fox 2, ‘ and retails for $79.99.

To be blunt, you’re pretty much screwed.

Remember how hard it was to get the NES Classic Edition when it was launched past year?

The NES Classic Mini previous year was a total trainwreck in terms of having enough stock available to meet the ravenous demand people had for it.

The September 29 release of the SNES Classic should see additional units reach store shelves earlier than what was originally anticipated, which should hopefully translate to more units available to day one customers. Also, from the moment when Nintendo announced the re-entry of the SNES, the console used to cost just $59. Then after the cancellation of the NES Classic, prices skyrocketed even further.

Good news Nintendo enthusiasts, if you didn’t get your hands on a NES Classic this past November when it first released, you will have another chance in 2018. In March, Nintendo launched its latest gaming system – the Nintendo Switch – which works as both a TV-linked console and a handheld portable device.
