Kim to be ‘tested like never before’
Meanwhile, China announced the enforcement of the new UN Security Council sanctions against North Korea.
North Korean foreign minister Ri Yong Ho said Friday that North Korea may test a hydrogen bomb in the Pacific.
“The quake has been analyzed to have occurred naturally”, an agency official said.
China hoped that Japan talked and acted cautiously and played a constructive role on the nuclear issue, he said.
An import ban on clothing produced in North Korea is also planned.
US President Donald Trump has again assailed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying he “will be tested like never before”.
Tillerson said Washington is “engaging with North Korea’s most important supporters, economic supporters…”
The President also called on member states to work together to isolate Mr Kim until he stops his “hostile” actions, a reference to a series of recent ballistic missile launches and nuclear tests by Pyongyang.
North Korea’s nuclear capabilities have expanded in recent months and it is now believed that North Korea could strike USA soil with a missile.
It took a few days, but now Kim has a response for Trump’s nickname, “rocket man”.
Yesterday, North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un, responded with a lengthy statement.
Earlier in the week, Mr Trump dubbed Kim “rocket man on a suicide mission” and told the United Nations General Assembly he would “totally destroy” North Korea if it threatened the U.S. and its allies.
It was followed by speeches from several other ranking party officials, which denounced Trump’s U.N. General Assembly speech and criticized him as a “rabid rogue”, “mentally deranged dotard” and “gangster fond of playing with fire”.
Peter’s said that China needs to intervene before the USA and North Korea go to war.
“If past tests were used to verify the explosive power of nuclear bombs, it is likely North Korea will test an electronic bomb in the Pacific”.
All of North Korea’s previous six nuclear tests registered as earthquakes of magnitude 4.3 or above.
During his United Nations speech, Trump decried North Korea’s continued provocations and said if it threatened the USA, the U.S. would “have no choice but to totally destroy” the country.
A hydrogen bomb test has not been conducted in decades and would be wrought with peril.
He said, “I would like to thank Kim for bringing “dotard” back”.
