Dems bemoan lack of action on guns by GOP

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., announced plans to introduce legislation to ban the sale of “bump stocks”, a device that allows semi-automatic firearms to function like an automatic weapon. Local gun laws are prohibited. If they pass, they can walk out with a gun in five to ten minutes.

And making it illegal for anyone on the terrorist watch list to purchase a gun in the United States because even though someone on the watch list cannot now board a plane, they can now purchase a gun.

It is true that many factors contribute to high rates of gun violence.

How easy is it to buy one?

Guns & Guitars general manager Christopher Sullivan said in a statement that the 64-year-old showed no signs of being unfit to buy guns. No new machine guns can be made or sold to civilians.

This leaves a lot of room for unsafe, unmonitored activity, such the “gun show loophole”, when private sellers do not have to get a license to sell, such as at a gun show or other events.

If the background check presents an issue for you, no worries. Therefore, there is little preventing anyone from assembling their own mini-arsenal and committing another awful tragedy.

The above list is just the tip of the iceberg in terms mass shootings-and more importantly in the staggering loss of life-attributed to gun violence in the U.S.in recent history.

“Thoughts and prayers are not enough”. To see these communities come together in the wake of awful tragedy is nothing short of inspiring. They did not prevent Newtown.
