Marvel’s The Punisher release date revealed in newest trailer
“The Punisher, ‘ starring Jon Bernthal in the title role after being introduced in ‘Daredevil” Season 2, began production in October.
So this time, thanks to the folks at Netflix, as well as Marvel, we might finally get The Punisher that we all deserve. Will you be watching Marvel’s The Punisher next month? “Netflix allows you to watch in a way you never could before, and there’s nothing better than seeing a show engage our members and ignite a passion for viewing”. Even after the first trailer hit, the release date remained a mystery.
The last news we brought you guys on Netflix’s upcoming “The Punisher” solo series was that the premiere date was being pushed back due to the Las Vegas shootings.
So as we wait impatiently for the return of Jessica Jones Season 2, at least we’ve got the loose cannon, take-no-prisoners Frank Castle to hang out with. This highly-anticipated show is going to live up to the hype. It has proven to be a major success for the streaming service and they are continuing to expand their Marvel line-up with shows like The Punisher. One thing is for sure, the promotion of The Punisher is so far very successful, faithful to the idea of blackness and radicalism muscled inherent to the character.
But just because this is the first time a Marvel and DC property are engaging in a release day face-off doesn’t mean this hasn’t nearly happened in the past.
Frank Castle’s mission to keep this information top secret has been compromised. There were a considerable amount of fans (including yours truly, for a little while) who were excited by the prospect of Netflix dropping the show by surprise. Looks like there’s going to be a comic book showdown that weekend! Let us know in the comments.
