Leaked OnePlus 5T image shows off full-screen display, smaller bezels
After the massive success of the OnePlus 3T, the Chinese tech giant is all set to release another handset under the coveted T series, the OnePlus 5T.
Ahoy there! Come on over and see all these OnePlus 5T leaked images and renders – although OnePlus 5 owners, you might want to avert your eyes.
From what we have gathered so far, the new OnePlus 5T device is expected to arrive sometime in the near future even though the company didn’t reveal any details about the new development. Either way, the company may be ready to announce its new smartphone as early as next month. Except for the OnePlus X mid-range phone from 2015, all the other OnePlus phones have feature a 5.5-inch FHD display with 16:9 aspect ratio. Past reports also suggest that the OnePlus 5T could look similar to the Oppo F5, which is expected to launch in India on November 2. It looks like the new smartphone will be a mid-cycle upgrade to OnePlus 5, but come with prominent design changes. The size of the smartphone won’t change too much, as the 5T will have slimmer bezels. Yet, here we are, on 23 October, staring at many “leaks” of the OnePlus 5T and a November release timeline. Something that’s been standard on OnePlus smartphones since a couple of years now.
Some recent reports claim that the OnePlus 5T will sport a 6-inch display along with a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution.
We can’t spot the fingerprint scanner on the bottom bezel so it is likely that 5T will sport a scanner at the back of the device.
Speaking of the “bezel-less” display, the OnePlus 5T is tipped to have a flat edged screen, unlike Samsung’s Galaxy flagships. The photo only shines a light on a portion of the phone, but it’s enough to catch the handset’s reduced-bezel design.
It should be noted that these are just leaks and rumours which should be taken with a pinch of salt. Some showing vertical placement of the dual camera, some showing a horizontally placed dual camera setup on the rear.
