Twitter worker who (briefly) deleted Donald Trump’s account was on last day

The personal account is Mr Trump‘s main tools for communicating with the American people – for better or worse.

Trump has used the account since March 2009. It was the individual’s last day with the company.

Reporters noticed the issue immediately, and attempts to reach his page displayed the “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” error message.

While Twitter‘s headquarters fell into shambles, Trump continued to tweet and tweet.

Twitter blamed “human error” for “inadvertently” deactivating President Trump’s account for a few moments Thursday, temporarily silencing perhaps the most scrutinized social media feed on earth. Those on the receiving end of his tweets include Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill who he views as roadblocks to his policy initiatives. With over 40 million followers, Trump has indiscriminately voiced his opinions on Twitter – often evoking the wrath of critics who consider his unfiltered outpourings “unpresidential”.

According to The Verge, there have been ongoing calls for Twitter to ban Trump over tweets that critics said could be interpreted as calls to violence.
