Woman Fired After Flipping Off Trump While Biking Past Motorcade

Juli Briskman is the Virginia cyclist who infamously followed and flipped off a Trump motorcade. Unfortunately, Briskman suffered the slings and arrows of viral fame when her employer, government contractor Akima LLC, caught wind of what was going on.

The photo went everywhere so fast that, according to HuffPost, she chose to tell the human resources department at Akima LLC, where she worked as a marketing specialist. But it didn’t please Briskman’s bosses at Akima LLC, a builder that does work for the U.S. government and military.

Briskman says she is a Democrat.

According to The Huffington Post, Juli Briskman stuck up the middle finger while riding her bike as Trump’s fleet of vehicles passed her by.

Her now-former employer Akima LLC caught wind of her Facebook cover photo update and made a decision to fire her.

Akima’s human resource department told Briskman in a meeting that her posting the photo on Facebook and Twitter was in violation of the company’s social media policy. The terms of her employment were at-will, so the company was within their right to do what they pleased.

Akima has not returned calls or emails to press inquiries.

Briskman flagged the post to higher-ups in the company when the man commented that an individual who was showing their support for the Black Lives Matter movement was a ‘f****** Libtard a******’. However, if they have allowed other employees to modify their social media accounts to comply with company policy, they should have given Briskman the same opportunity. It was sayonara for her.

Briskman told the news website she was outraged because a male colleague had kept his job after making lewd comments on his Facebook page, which listed his employer.

Briskman said she had no regrets about the attention her public show of displeasure received. But became aware after a few friends thought they recognized her and tagged her in the photo, asking. She said she locked eyes with a man inside who she thought was a Secret Service agent, and then held the gaze of another man, but then the cars moved past her and drove away.

It turned out that many people didn’t think so. Once she posted something on her personal Facebook, however, the firm she was working for gave her the boot.

Except, now we know how that ended. In speaking with Huffington Post, Briskman was also largely positive.
