A UK version of Lip Sync Battle is coming
It’s expected to premiere in the UK in early 2016, but no presenter has yet been announced. MTV UK’s Steve Regan will serve as the executive producer, reporting directly to Ben Frow.
Chances are even if you haven’t seen a full episode of Lip Sync Battle you’ve seen clips online of celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Anna Kendrick, Terry Crews and many many more providing hilarious performances on the Spike show. The original show, hosted by NCIS Los Angeles actor LL Cool J will be familiar to some UK viewers, with the showing airing on Spike.
Find out whether Glazer’s got what it takes to outdo that ferocious (silent) vibrato and those inimitable grimaces of lip synced passion on Spike this Thursday at 10 pm ET.
“[We] look forward to bringing entertainment back to the heart of Channel 5 primetime”. He said. The network has ordered 20 more episodes for 2016. Hooray!

This first preview of the show has Abbi Jacobson all decked out in evening wear taking on probably one of the grandest songs ever attempted in the show’s brief history: “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from the award-winning musical and film Dreamgirls.

The commission further strengthens Channel 5’s links with Spike U.S. The two Viacom-owned channels have collaborated on the launch of Spike UK, which debuted in April as the latest addition to Channel 5’s portfolio of channels and features a mix of Channel 5 factual output and Spike’s entertainment content, including the original U.S. version of “Lip Sync Battle”.
