Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Toronto, GTA
This area is in a slight risk for severe weather.
Conditions will become increasingly favourable for the development of even stronger thunderstorms across Southwestern Ontario from regions east of Lake Huron and eventually farther south.
The National Weather Service has issued an enhanced severe weather outlook for our area and most of the lower peninsula on Sunday, August 2nd.
Severe thunderstorm warnings have also been issued for parts of southern Ontario. Golf ball-sized hail and strong wind is possible.
Several clusters of serious to severe thunderstorms are possible well into the evening, the weather agency said. It will be humid, with highs in the 80s to near 90 inland.
Storms will bubble up over northern Nebraska in the mid-afternoon, while storms in Iowa are likely to hold off until the evening hours.
These storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, hail and flooding downpours.

The storms will fizzle out early Monday morning and we will see a few linger during the first half of the day but after that we will begin to dry out.
