Rajinikath to join politics: Kamal Haasan congratulates him

Immediately after the actor announced his political debut, his fans waved the fan club flags outside the meeting venue, and raised slogans hailing his decision. The last one year has brought shame to Tamil Nadu.

Sudhakar, the administrator of the All-India Rajinikanth Fans Association, is a very busy man. Be it politics or cinema, in order to succeed one should have a propitious time’. I would like to say politics has entered Rajinikanth instead of saying Rajinikanth has entered into politics.

“He only announced he is entering politics, had no details or documents, he is illiterate. Had I not known its dynamics, I would have said okay”, he had said. “We need to change the system”. But the exact release date had not been confirmed and people were in doubt as to when the science fiction flick, directed by S. Shankar, and also starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson is going to be released. The superstar, however, does not follow any of them.

Jayalalithaa’s death left a vacuum in Tamil Nadu politics that saw a bitter infighting in the ruling AIADMK. “The party will be formed at the right time, and we should work towards fulfilling our promise”, said Rajinikanth. Jayalalithaa was a popular actress before joining politics. While he is yet to name his party, the actor has called for a change to begin from the base. And because Kamal Haasan is Rajinikanth’s friend, Tamizhazhagan doesn’t want to oppose the former’s political entry.
