Prices soar for College Football Playoff National Championship game

The Crimson Tide is seeking its fifth national title under head coach Nick Saban.

“I think I’m always looking for the next challenge”, said Saban”. Today, Georgia Football plays for the National Championship against Alabama.

Although record-setting for college football, the championship game still falls well short of what folks pay to get into the Super Bowl. The unit is led by first-team All-SEC linebacker Roquan Smith, who made 124 tackles this season, including 11.5 for a loss. Scott Woerner was a standout on Georgia’s 1980 national championship team.

Tagovailoa getting action in this game perhaps isn’t too surprising, as Alabama said they were prepared to play him in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson.

Alabama also has a veteran secondary to contend with the passing of Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm. His introduction was harsh, in his very first game with the Bulldogs to open the 1964 season.

“I’ve just been trying to focus on being dominant up front, for real”, Payne said. If Smart actually took that picture, he not only disrespected his friend in Coach Saban and the entire Alabama team – he committed football treason.

Before taking on the top dog role at Georgia, Smart worked under Saban as the Alabama defensive coordinator.

Academy Sports and Outdoors in Brunswick has boxes full of championship merchandise waiting to fill the shelves if the Bulldogs win Monday night. Alabama’s run defense hasn’t truly been tested that much this season, though Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State had success on the ground.

“Sometimes it has to all fall in place, but he has taken advantage of that”, Dooley said. “They play really physical”.
