Sony announces Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia XA2 at CES 2018
In terms of the battery, the Xperia XA2 features a 3300mAh pack, a substantial bump from last year’s 2300mAh unit. Now, without further ado, let’s delve into what the three new devices have to offer. Except for Xperia L2, other two devices have Qualcomm Snapdragon 630. The fingerprint sensor has been repositioned to the rear from the power button. The Xperia L2 sports a 5.5 inch borderless display smartphone with 120-degree super-wide-angle lens front camera, with an all new metallic design and a fingerprint sensor.
Beneath the robot’s conical surface is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 SoC backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash memory, with the device seemingly running a heavily modified version of Google’s Android operating system.
In the headset category, Sony is introducing the WF-SP700N, which has “the world’s first noise-canceling and splash-proof functionality among truly wireless headphones”, according to the company. There is a 16MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP secondary camera with wide-angle lens.
The Sony Xperia L2 is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging. Sony lover were anxiously waiting for new devices from the company.Tough the smartphone maker has not revealed the cost of these three handsets, but their specifications are fantastic.
As above, Sony has advised only the XA2 is heading to Australia, though if they change their minds we’ll be sure to let you know.
If we hear about U.S. launches, we’ll update you. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GBGB of internal storage. On the brighter side, you get an edge-to-edge design on the XA2 family with curves on the sides, but the huge bezels at the top and bottom still prevail.
Like its predecessor, the XA2 also offers the now-established SteadyShot technology to minimise any blur from shaky hands. It is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery.
It features 4K movie recording, that will allow users to create with color and clarity – 120fps slow-motion video capture is also included for dramatizing action and movement.
The 120 super wide-angle 8MP front camera is built for selfies, with its 13MP F2.0 rear camera ensuring clear and crisp mobile photography. Sony Xperia L2 will be available in single SIM and dual SIM modes in select markets, with three colour options: black, gold and pink.
Availability on these devices is slated for late February, but with the kick off of 2018, we expect to see some stiff competition – competition which Sony has failed to overcome in the past.
