Author of tell-all book insists he ‘absolutely spoke’ to Donald Trump

The White House has ridiculed such claims saying Trump is a strong leader.

Trump attempted to stop the book from being released, but the book officially released Friday at 9 a.m. ET and is soaring atop Amazon’s Best Sellers list. “I am certainly and absolutely in every way comfortable with what I have reported”, he added.

It casts Trump as a man who didn’t want to win the presidency, doesn’t understand the weight of the office and has little grasp of policy details.

Donald Trump has hit back at the claims in the book, calling Wolff “a total loser” when he retweeted a parody cover of the book that the Republican Party had tweeted earlier Friday.

KEITH: As he walked away, reporters shouted questions about Michael Wolff’s book and about Steve Bannon, the former top White House aide, who Trump has disavowed after his scathing comments in that book. “He never interviewed the president about the book”.

Upon release of the book, President Trump’s lawyer sent a cease-and-desist letter to both Michael Wolff, the book’s author, and the publisher.

The book’s release date was brought forward but with Amazon quoting an in-stock date of January 10, and many bookstores in the United Kingdom not expecting deliveries until next week, the small number of copies which landed at Waterstones Piccadilly on Friday “flew off the shelves in minutes”.

In Washington, customers lined up in bitterly cold weather to purchase a copy at KramerBooks, which began selling copies at midnight.

Justin Bethel, manager of the Politics and Prose bookstore, said its 30 copies sold out quickly. “We should get a new shipment in by Monday”.

Now, we’re five days into 2018 and we already have reports that even more people are ready to leave because they understand that this book release, because they’ve seen it from Trump on Twitter for the last few days, is going to make Donald Trump absolutely more insane than he already is. The New York author spent months inside the West Wing talking to administration officials and has painted a portrait of a frenetic, incompetent White House, headed by a president described by aides as a child.

The author of a new tell-all on the White House said Saturday that his book will “end” the presidency of the former real estate mogul.

“Not only is he helping me sell books but he’s helping me prove the point of the book”.

Trump repeatedly has attacked Wolff’s credibility, and did so again in a tweet Friday night.

Special counsel Robert Mueller is looking at that June 2016 meeting and Trump’s misleading claim that the discussion focused on adoption. He has not announced any conclusions. Mr Trump has promised to address the situation, but his “opioid czar” Kellyanne Conway does not appear to be at Camp David.
