Alexis Sanchez not in Arsenal squad for Bournemouth game
Arsene Wenger claims Alexis Sanchez is “half in, half out” of Arsenal but acknowledged the Chile global must be replaced if he leaves the club.
“If Manchester City want Alexis Sanchez, they buy Alexis Sanchez and they don’t have problem”.
Sanchez trained with his current club on Saturday and could still stay with Arsenal until the end of the season before leaving on a free transfer, to Man City, United or elsewhere.
Sanchez is in the final six months of his contract at Arsenal and had been expected to move to United’s local rivals Manchester City, after he almost joined Pep Guardiola’s men at the start of the season.
If I were Wenger, I’d be on the phone to Pep and ask him to pick him up on a mini cab personally before he slinks off to the red side of Manchester.
Manchester United are prepared to do business in this transfer window rather than wait until the summer should a “fantastic opportunity” arise, according to Jose Mourinho.
But it’s United who are now favourites to land the 29-year-old after beating the Premier League leaders with their offer. I hope to convince them to follow what I am talking about.
Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Alexis Sanchez.
Out on the left meanwhile, Leroy Sane has been in excellent form and is developing into one of the best young talents in the division, if not the world. “I feel I shouldn’t say much more than this”.
Bournemouth erased a two goal deficit in the span of five minutes as Arsenal’s slide down the table continues. While Sanchez would be an upgrade on the duo, once again it would be harsh to replace either. Playing the game, that is my only concern.
In four seasons at the Emirates Stadium, Sanchez has won two FA Cups.
“You know my answer about that, he is an Arsenal player”, Guardiola told a news conference after City’s 22-match unbeaten start to the Premier League season was ended in a classic at Anfield.
“You look at Manchester City and they’re so far ahead of everybody else, not just in points but in the way and style they play”.
