‘Fear the Walking Dead’ to Get 15-Episode Second Season
Season 1 of “Fear” kicks off at 9 p.m. August 23 with a 90-minute episode.
The spin-off of The Walking Dead is nearly here. When you’re going to kill a major character, you need to have laid the track for it. There are certain deaths that I have in my head that wouldn’t be coming until much later in the show, but until we get up and running and we see how everything is developing, it’s hard to say. But already fans of “The Walking Dead” are, depending on their perspective, looking forward to another show about zombie mayhem, or wondering if there’s room for another show about zombie mayhem.
The executive producer of “Fear the Walking Dead” revealed updates about the season 2 shooting schedule.
Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. There’s still a window of time, we’ll have some real estate left. The EP also couldn’t tell if fans will see such in “Fear the Walking Dead” season 3, as they haven’t looked into what could happen after season 2. A second season has just been approved with 15 more.
“We purposely built the show a little bit slower than the original”, said executive producer David Erickson, who explained that, in the early episodes it will be more about “the anxiety, the tension and the paranoia” than the bloody zombie carnage.
“By the end of Season 1, we definitely know the world has changed”.
“Fear the Walking Dead” stars Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, Cliff Curtis, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Colman Domingo, Lorenzo James Henrie, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Toni French, Patricia Reyes Spindola, Bobby Naderi, Toby Levins, Khaira Ledeyo, David Hardware, Lincoln A. Castellanos and Sandrine Holt, among others. “We will get to a place over the course of the season where we will see elements of the original show sort of thread in throughout our story”.
