Good News! Jane the Virgin Is Returning Earlier Than Planned
This week at the CW’s TCA panel, the network announced that it will be premiering two of its hottest shows a little earlier than expected.
Executive producer Jennie Urman has revealed that there will be more than one wedding in the new season.
The first season of “Jane the Virgin” took viewers for a ride with Jane’s ups and downs of getting pregnant, even before having sex.
Mad Ex-Girlfriend will star Rachel Bloom as the titular insane ex, who gives up her life and high-powered career in Manhattan to chase down an old flame in Covina, Calif. We’re not quite sure how we feel about the premise – or the title.
The CW is bringing back Jane the Virgin and insane Ex-Girlfriend a little earlier this fall. Both shows were originally set for October 19th.
“By the fifth episode there’s an unexpected marriage of two characters, and that’s going to be the first [wedding]”, Urman said.
Jane’s wedding will be another highlight added in her life after giving birth to baby Mateo.
It will be followed by the second-season premiere of the critically acclaimed “Jane the Virgin“, starring Golden Globe-winner Gina Rodriguez. Unbeknownst to her, the specimen belongs to Rafael (Justin Baldoni), a reformed playboy and cancer survivor, who is not only the new owner of the hotel where Jane works but also a former summer crush of hers. “As told to Huffington Post: “…I want to see Jane’s strength. I’m hoping we’re going to see the insane amount of strength she has, to see Jane be a mother and not a passive aggressive one, but a very strong, forward mother. And I think you’re going to see Jane’s strength.
