So much for speech: Trump on hot mic says he’ll release memo

Donald Trump centered his speech, which lasted more than 80 minutes, on “the American Dream”.

“Tonight, I call upon all of us to set aside our differences, to seek out coming ground, and to summon the unity we need to deliver for the people we were elected to serve”, Trump said.

The president also said he was “committed to fighting the drug epidemic and helping get treatment for those in need” on Tuesday night, but he offered few specifics about his plan for battling the scourge. Numerous provisions he outlined will continue the theme of renewing rural America.
