Nintendo Switch’s online service will cost you in September
Some are defending the move, stating that Sony and Microsoft charge over $50 for those online services, so it’s cheaper than the competition.
Initially, when Bayonetta’s first installment was launched back in 2009 it was on all the platforms including Nintendo consoles. Here’s the story for those who don’t know it: When the 3DS launched, its original price point was $250. Nintendo has also said that anyone signed up to Nintendo Switch Online will also gain access to exclusive discounts on digital games via the eShop. As 2017 went on, Nintendo’s Switch had “ARMS”, “Splatoon 2”, “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle”, and “Super Mario Odyssey”. However, it’s unclear if titles like Dr. Mario, Super Mario Bros. The list of games available during the month will only be available for the month itself. How exactly all these services will be offered is still not entirely certain.
Today, during Nintendo’s corporate strategy meeting, CEO Tatsumi Kimishima gave a few updates about the performance of the Switch and the manufacturer’s plans for the console and the rest of its lineup.
The service will cost $3.99 per month, $7.99 per quarter, or $19.99 per year, but online multiplayer on the Nintendo Switch will remain free until it is officially launched.
