First Look at Michael B. Jordan & Michael Shannon in HBO’s ‘Fahrenheit 451’
Other executive producers are Sarah Green of Brace Cove Productions, Alan Gasmer, Peter Jaysen, and Noruz Films’ Bahrani, who co-wrote with Amir Naderi. Now that HBO has released the first trailer-well-timed right after Jordan stole the show in Black Panther-ahead of a May release, we imagine it will ignite your interest.
Killmonger is more a firemonger in the first teaser for HBO’s adaptation of the classic novel Fahrenheit 451.
Though a specific premiere date has not been announced, HBO’s Fahrenheit 451 will arrive in May.
“Have you ever seen a physical book before?” Alongside Shannon’s Captain Beatty, who is his mentor and captain, Jordan’s Guy Montag heads to what looks like an old library.
Ray Bradbury’s dystopian future tale of “firemen” who burn books and suppress facts while the populace prefers to watch TV has never seemed more timely. He probes, “Do you want to know what’s inside?”
The trailer opens with Jordan’s Guy Montag leading a group of armed men into an abandoned house wherein one room holds over a hundred books.
“I have always loved Ray Bradbury’s prophetic novel “Fahrenheit 451″,” says Bahrani.
As his boss Captain Beatty (Michael Shannon) says, “A little knowledge is a risky thing”. Fahrenheit 451 also stars Sofia Boutella (The Mummy, Atomic Blonde).
Michael Shannon will be fine as Captain Beatty, though I’m certain many of you have grown just as exhausted as I have of seeing him always play an intense villain character.
