Among automobile renters, Enterprise Holdings (parent company of Enterprise, Alamo, and National), as well as Hertz, Avis and Budget, have all bailed on the NRA.
Delta Air Lines: Delta said it’s ending discounted flights for NRA members.
Lockton: The insurance company said it will “discontinue providing brokerage services for NRA-endorsed insurance programs”. Companies have become more aware of public sentiment that can be amplified over Twitter and other platforms.
Monday, in a lengthy statement, FedEx said it opposes assault weapons but would not cave to political pressure and would not stop offering discounted shipping rates to NRA members.
Name SearchWatch Service’ FedEx Corp. released a statement saying that would continue to offer discounts to National Rifle Association members despite differing opinions on gun legislation, the Memphis-based company released a follow up statement addressing the backlash.
Companies that opted to do nothing face no less pressure.
Tim Hentschel, the CEO of HotelPlanner.com, told Fox Business on Wednesday his company will continue to honor its contract with the NRA because it’s about “classic hospitality”. “We’re about hospitality, welcoming all guests”.
