Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale divorcing

With the post mortems still being written on Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, another popular couple – Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale – are calling it quits, reports said Monday.

The duo plan to share joint custody of their three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 17 months.

Stefani was born in Fullerton and grew up in Orange County.

British-born Rossdale is the frontman for the band Bush. The pair were married in September 2002 and had their first child together in 2006.

Gwen Stefani performing at the Grammy Awards in February. The couple separately filed divorce documents on the same day, signifying that this split has likely been in the works for awhile. “To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time”, the statement read.

In a July 10 sit-down with ET, Stefani was coy when asked about tabloid rumors about her marriage to Rossdale and spoke lovingly about her three boys. We both want to be good parents, and so I feel really proud of what we’ve done together and that we don’t…You’re gonna get me crying, no don’t, I’m going to get all emotional!

“It was just awkward”, she said at the time. “They’re manipulating currency to create a discount for products made in China and we don’t do a damn thing about it. They’re building islands over resource-rich property owned by others because they can”.
