Weather Authority: Rain showers beginning Monday
Friday will be partly to mostly sunny and cool.
A clear night is forecast for tonight until around midnight before Monday’s clouds begin to form overnight, persisting for most of the morning.
The outlook for Easter Sunday is sunny and warmer weather again with highs near 80 degrees. This front is expected to arrive Wednesday night into Thursday morning; severe thunderstorms may be possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The weather pattern will remain active as well next week with some small snow chances from Monday through Wednesday. Highs will make it into the 50s on Wednesday.
The main timing for rain and storms on Tuesday is now forecast to be during the afternoon, with the highest coverage expected during the evening and overnight. The winds will not be too bad either, out of the south and southwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. The SPC is carrying northwest quarter of the region in a Slight Risk for late Wednesday night and northeast quarter of the area on Thursday; with Marginal threat most of the remainder of the area. Otherwise cloudy to mostly cloudy, with a high near 46.
The NWS is predicting a 20 percent chance of precipitation throughout the day. Tomorrow will be ideal, too; sunshine will warm us into the 77-84 degree range across the area, with only a tiny (10%) chance of a quick shower late tomorrow. The clouds hang around overnight when there’ll be a few showers and lows near 38. Saturday: A few showers possible, high near 20°C, gusty NW winds. Heading into the weekend, we are still watching for shower chances. Highs for this weekend, look to be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s. The wet weather picks up in intensity overnight into early Friday. Highs will range from the mid 40s in North Jersey and along the Jersey Shore, to near 50 degrees for interior South Jersey.
